Our constitution compels us to represent the interests of our members as well as
those of the profession as a whole. At the present time, this includes lobbying the
DSA and others about a number of issues, including:
- Removal of the Trainee Licence as it currently exists.
- The effect of Continuing Professional Development on ADIs.
- The importance of bringing all of the national associations together for more frequent
summit meetings.
- The need to reduce the number of ADIs who are not represented by any organisation.
- Improving road safety.
- Introduction of mandatory CPD.
- Allowing properly supervised learners on motorways.
“It is far better to belong to an association for 100 years and not need it, than
to need it for one minute and
not belong to it" - Pat Murphy MBE
We will continue to be involved in all meetings related to CPD which is the most
prominent subject we face at this time,
We have also recently appointed our own Road Safety Advisor who will help us to get
up-to-date information to our members promptly.
